Automatic Failure Switching technology
and processes where put into place. Web sites (and email) are dynamically copied and updated to
several servers in real time. If your server goes down, the
switching system temporarily redirects incoming traffic to another
server that has a copy of your web site and email. Your site could
still be down for a couple of minutes while the switch occurs, but
you won’t be down for long periods.

caller is responding, or which number the caller dialed to
contact you, or anything you choose to hear. You
record your own whisper message.

Favorable Wall Street Journal quotes about the Toll-free
telephone service. Article mentioned below:
"Gettting an 800 Number" -
April 12, 2005; Page D1
The Problem: Your child rarely calls home.
The Solution: Consider an 800 number for the
family. These services have been around for years,
but often with exorbitant per-minute charges. Now
prices are dropping, though they can still add up.
Kall8, an add-on to your regular phone service,
costs $2 to set up and $2 a month; most incoming
calls are 6.9 cents a minute.
Though the monthly fees are often higher,
traditional phone carriers offer the service too. AT&T and SBC charge $2.95 a month; AT&T calls are 15
cents a minute and SBC's per-minute price is a dime;
neither charges a setup fee. Even Internet-calling
companies now have the service. Vonage, for example,
levies a $9.99 setup fee and $4.99 per month, for
100 minutes of calls. Such providers can be
attractive for heavy users. The Caveat: Calls made from a pay phone typically
cost an extra 25 cents to 50 cents.
April 10, 2008 -
Excess bandwidth fees have been reduced by 25%. Most hosting
accounts (99.4%) will never go over the hosting package
limits of our basic plan.
February 15, 2008 - CartIt shopping cart is no longer recommended or
used by Sturdy Link. CartIt has failed to support
their product, but still sells it. We strongly advise to
stay away from it due to lack of support.
December 15, 2007 -
All hosting accounts can enjoy
more free web space and bandwidth. The Bronze plan
(least expensive plan) was doubled from 200 MB to 400 MB
of disk space, and bandwidth increased from 7.5GB to 10GB
per month. Other higher end hosting packages were
upgraded as well.
November 9, 2007 -
Server software was upgraded on all servers to support the
latest versions of all software.

This is for people that want to access their email from
multiple computers (home, work,. etc). You may setup any email address as an IMAP mailbox instead
of a POP3 mailbox. This just means that your email is maintained on our servers instead of
inside your email program on one computer. Each time you open your email program, it synchronizes email on our servers.
You can use separate
computers at home and work, but still have the most recent email image.
February 1, 2006 - New control panels for the
Mail Manager and
Mailing Lists that are easier to
navigate and understand.
January 1, 2006 -
Lower Prices No, it is not an April fool's joke. We are pleased to announce
that for the 3rd year in a row we are able to lower prices for hosting and domain registrations
effective April 2003. For accounts that paid in advance, we credit the account with
additional time or refund the difference at the customer's choice. Fortunately we can lower
prices due to our reduced cost on buying servers, less support cost than we anticipated, and
economy of scale from client growth. This lets us be even more competitive.
December 1, 2005 - New Toll-Free Call Routing Feature -
For our customers of the Kall8 Toll Free Phone Service, a new feature was added that allows
routing to closest location. If you have multiple business locations, you can now have
toll-free calls automatically routed to the location closest to the caller. This is
especially useful for car dealerships, real estate agents or dry cleaners, etc. Yes,
you can still have your own toll-free number for $2 a month and 6.9 cents per minute.
